The Altus AFB Youth Center focuses on youths, ages 5 to 18 years old. The center flourishes with alliances with the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA), 4-H and the Council on Accreditation. The Youth Center is also able to promote activities in the BGCA Five-Core programming areas of Character and Leadership Development: Health and Life Skills, the Arts, Sports, Fitness and Recreation, and Education and Career Development. We also utilize 4-H curriculum within each program to introduce and refine science & technology skills.

"Our mission is to assist DoD military and civilian personnel in balancing the competing demands of the accomplishment of the DoD mission and family life by managing and delivering a system of quality, available, and affordable programs and services for eligible children and youth birth through 18 years of age. "
School Age Program
Our School Age program is open year-round Monday-Friday from 0630-1730 and closed on all Federal Holidays. Our program is centered on choice; while at the School-Age Program, you will always have a variety of activities to choose from including arts and crafts, fitness activities, a computer lab, library, many community service projects and other 4-H and BGCA programs. The program also offers a variety of weekly hobby clubs ranging from gardening to drama to sewing.
Open Recreation
Open Recreation is the place for youth ages 9 to 18 years old to hang out and share in activities and fun. We offer a full basketball gym, rock climbing wall, pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, gaming systems, art area, bumper pool, computer access and a snack bar. We also have a teen-only hangout area with a keyboard, TV, game system and foosball.
